Born in South Western Japan, Yuji has sprung up from the lower ranks of a small town country boy with no future in sight, to being the host of the most widely viewed TV show in Japan. His enourmous popularity is already spreading elsewhere throughout the world with satellite broadcasts reaching out to most of the planet.

A drop out of the University of Waseda, he's a brilliant man, but could never quite deal with the routines of university curriculum, and always hated his multiple choice tests. He always figured too many choices can make a man go crazy, and if you can't write a report or do a skit about it, then you probably don't know it, and shouldn't bother faking it by guessing amongst the choices. Besides, he hated the time clocks ticking during the tests, because it made him nervous, and unable to etch in the circles with his #2 pencils fast enough.

So, he opted out for the easy life and waited on tables in an "all-you-can-eat-and-drink" Karaoke bar in downtown Tokyo. After learning all the songs from hearing drunk customers singing for so long, Yuji jumped on stage and started singing. Before you knew it, he had big crowds coming to see him, and then one day, an agent from Ultra TV showed up and lured him in for some job interviews. Soon thereafter, he was hosting his "Allright Tokyo" show, which quickly moved to the top of the charts.

He is an friendly hip dude that had a blonde girlfriend from California come into his life back in the University days. She taught him lots of hip California talk, so he could hang cool with the tourists when they came to the Karaoke bar. He likes to get to know his potential suppliers before cutting any deals with them, and takes a bit longer to reach agreements, but its well worth the effort to hang cool with him before closing any big money deals. He values long term relationships, and can be a great source of livlihood for those who take the time to make decent music videos to his liking.
